The PhD program of Politics and International Studies (PINS) is designed on the synthesis of fields of Political Science, International Relations and address to the academics and upper level professionals of the future. It offers the theoretical foundations of global politics as well as its basic areas of study focusing on the centralisation and shifts in the political, economic and military power in the globed. Upon such a base, its curriculum offers the student an opportunity to develop a broad understanding of the system of global-international relations and politics and then to focus on a special areas of interest. It is designed to promote career advancement of professionals and academics from every undergraduate background.

EDUCATIONAL METHODS
- Lecturers teach/explain the topics using audio &visual tools during 1/3 of course time, 2/3 of it is conducted as seminar style IAT interactive method principles. - Research based activities such as; doing presentation and writing article related with course subject are executed by the students.. -- Students prepare, present and defend their thesis before graduation.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Firstly, students are required to complete 7 courses, equal to 21 ECTS credits and their seminar class. All students who complete the abovementioned criteria are eligible to attend to the PhD qualifying examination. After successfully passing the qualifying examination, students are expected to complete their PhD thesis under the supervision of a full time academic staff having a PhD degree.
